Cabochon Stone Setting

A cabochon stone has a smooth, domed top and a flat base.

Learn how to make a setting for a round or oval cabochon stone and complete a silver pendant and, if you have time, a ring in this one day silversmithing workshop. Once the basics are mastered this versatile technique can be applied to create settings for many different shapes
and materials.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, but also makes a great follow-on from the Silver Jewellery in a Day class.

Copper and Enamel Jewellery

Design and make a set of accessories by exploring a variety of jewellery making techniques including enamelling and copper smithing.

You will have the opportunity to make a pair of earrings as well as a pendant or a brooch using copper and brass discs, tubes, and wire which you will prepare.  Then you will then transform these simple pieces of copper and brass into wearable works of art using enamel.

Assembling each of the pieces into jewellery using silver links and findings you will have your very own unique pieces to take away.

A light lunch, refreshments and all materials are included, however you may want to purchase extra silver findings or rubber/silver neck cords from your tutor on the day.
