Silver Clay Jewellery with Stones

Learn how to make a beautiful piece of silver clay jewellery with stone settings. Once fired this will turn into a solid silver pendant or brooch.

Design your own piece, then learn how to roll out and texture the clay, how to cut shapes and remove the excess. Learn how to set colourful stones in three different ways and choose which ones you will use to enhance your piece. Learn how to shape the clay to add detail and either
a bail or a brooch pin on the back. Learn how to fire the piece, then burnish and add a basic polish to it. If there’s time you will also learn how to add patina.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those with silver clay experience.

A light lunch and refreshments and all materials to make one pendant or brooch set with stones are included in the workshop fee. Additional fittings and chains are available for a small extra charge, starting from £6, payable to the tutor on the day.
