Reusable Gift Bags
Want to be more sustainable this festive season? Learn how to sew a
fabric bottle gift bag and a fabric gusseted rectangular gift bag in
this friendly half-day workshop. These bags can be re-used for many
years, so no more wrapping paper thrown in the bin. You might find you
like them so much that you only give them to people who might return
them!
The bottle bag has a weighted bottom, is lined, and has two ribbon
handles. The rectangular gift bag with ribbon drawstring is suitable for
boxed gifts or books. It can be made in multiple sizes once you have
learnt the technique.
At the end of the workshop you will take home one of each type of bag.
Bring your own fabric, either festive or a choice that could be used
year-round, and a sewing machine.
Suitable for beginners and improvers - some basic sewing experience
would be helpful.
