ANODISED ALUMINIUM


Using aluminium that has already been anodised, learn how to colour the metal permanently and then make earrings, pendants or bangles. Aluminium is easy to manipulate and you need no previous jewellery making experience to make the most of the day.

MAKE A SCARF PIN


Make a silver scarf or shawl pin with a decorative head of your own design and an elegant twisted stem. This pin will thread smoothly through knitwear or fabrics with a heavy loose weave. Materials: £15 maximum.

MAKE A SPINNER RING

Design and create a beautiful silver spinner ring in this relaxing workshop. You will begin by creating one straight-sided silver band and then one thinner band in your choice of either copper, brass or silver. Connect these two bands together so that the thin ring moves freely around the silver band when worn and you have created your spinner ring! Materials: £10

KEUM-BOO


This ancient, beautiful Korean technique will decorate and enhance your silverwork. Make a small silver pendant and then apply very thin 24 carat gold foil to a section of your work using heat and a burnishing tool. If you have made jewellery before, you may wish to bring along a small, flat, finished piece to work on. Materials: £25

INTRODUCTION TO SILVER CLAY


Discover the amazing qualities of silver clay. During this half day workshop, you will make a silver Calla Lily necklace with textured leaf, ready to wear. You will learn a variety of techniques including rolling, texturing and shaping on the mould. After firing, you will burnish your work, add your beads to a headpin, and finally add your chain.
